Log Line: A legendary film director dies, leaving behind a fabled, never-before-heard audio commentary track. Four intrepid adventurers race against time and each other, willing to go to all extremes to claim the director’s secrets.

Casting: 7 actors, 1 actress, 1 actor or actress. Can be Narrated by one of the characters, or an additional Voice.

MacGuffin is a term coined by Alfred Hitchcock, meaning the object of the film that everyone is pursuing. Sometimes the MacGuffin can be a big pile of money and sometimes the object can be an abstract concept.

In The Great Muppet Caper (hilarious parody of the Heist genre, if you haven’t seen the film, and full of glorious puns), the MacGuffin is the Baseball Diamond. But in North by Northwest, Hitchcock’s villain makes his trade in “secrets.”

In this fun, action-oriented, yet low-budget short film screenplay, nobody is chasing secrets. They’re chasing something else entirely.
